Tulip Fairy & Elf Parade
Saturday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m. 1400 Block of Pearl

Each spring Downtown Boulder, Inc. enlists the help of the beautiful Tulip Fairy to help wake the 15,000 tulips that adorn the pedestrian mall, and encourage them to grow to their fullest potential. With the help of hundreds of pint-sized fairies and elves, the Tulip Fairy leads a parade full of pomp and circumstance to the delight of parents, locals and visitors alike. Immediately following the parade, Open Space and Mountain Parks present the "Waking of the Bear". There will be live music by children's musicians Jeff Kagen and Paige Doughty.

This is a free event. Attendees are encouraged to utilize the City Boulder Parking Garage at 15th and Pearl. (Free garage parking every Saturday and Sunday).

Bon Appétit's Foodiest Town in America is getting ready to showcase downtown restaurants who have helped propel Boulder to epicurean heights in recent years. Paired with Colorado's best wineries, ticket holders will visit 15 select merchants while sampling delicious foods and wines. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Emergency Family Assistance Association.

Bands on the Bricks
2011 Lineup Announced!

From oldies to alternative and everything in between, Bands on the Bricks is Boulder County's premiere outdoor summer concert series taking place in the heart of the city on the bricks of the one-and-only Pearl Street Mall.  A not-to-be-missed summer tradition with 10 weeks of free concerts. Enjoy performances from the best local musicians along the front range while dancing under the stars every Wednesday night.  Featuring an outdoor beer/wine/margarita garden.

Tree removal work on Pearl Street Mall has begun

The City of Boulder’s Parks and Recreation Department has begun a tree removal and replacement project on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall.

The project will include removing declining linden trees and tree grates, realigning tree vaults, enlarging tree grates and planting new trees. This work may cause brief, minor access closures. The project is expected to be completed by April 15.
