Promote
Your Downtown Business
Downtown Boulder works very hard to promote our varied
merchants in a multitude of ways. Explore the following
to find out how Downtown Boulder can assist in promoting
your Downtown business.
If you have questions about any of these,
contact Eli Madrone (eli@dbi.org,

Food and Wine Festival
Come taste samples from twenty of Boulder’s top
restaurants, including Frasca Food and Wine, The Flagstaff
House, The Kitchen and Q’s Restaurant, at Boulder’s
inaugural Food
and Wine Festival, Sunday August 12th 12 noon-5
pm. Twenty-five Colorado wineries will also offer samples.
Coupled with the food and wine, will be
Boulder’s first Waiter’s Race at 2 pm. Servers
compete against each other in skill, speed and “most
entertaining performance”. Musical entertainment
will also be provided.
Pancake Breakfast Thanks
Downtown Boulder would like to thank all those who attended
the Pancake Breakfast. It was a beautiful morning and
150 of you attended our memorial for Tom Eldridge and
the presentation of the KidLinks proceeds to Boulder
Community Hospital. Thanks to all of the sponsors including
Steve Ross and the staff of Lazy
Dog Sports Bar & Grill, Dan and Mike Eldridge
from Tom's
Tavern, and George Karakehian of Art
Source International.
Farmers' Market Corner

Farmers Market was ranked 6th nationally in the
current issue of Eating Well Magazine. The magazine
surveyed 1.6 million readers. Eligible markets had to
offer food produced locally, sold directly and cultivated
in an environmentally conscious way.
The top ten Markets are:
- Dane County, Madison, WI
- Union Square, New York, NY
- Portland Market, Portland, OR
- Ferry Plaza, San Francisco, CA
- Sunset Valley, Austin, TX
- Boulder County, Boulder, CO
- Capital City, Montpelier, VT
- Santa Fe, Santa Fe, NM
- Simply Homegrown, Clayton, GA
- Santa Cruz River, Tucson, AZ
Parking Paystation Q&A
Downtown Boulder parking meters will be replaced with
new solar powered pay stations that accept both coins
and credit/debit cards. This section addresses questions
posed by patrons of Downtown. If you have a specific
question you would like answered send an email to parking@dbi.org.
Q: What
happens if a pay station doesn’t work?
A: You can always pay
at any other pay station if one does not function.
The pay stations will communicate with the parking
division employees to report a problem. The problem
will be corrected quickly, but until it is fixed,
it is one's responsibility to pay at another unit.
