Revenues Up in August
Sales
tax figures from the city of Boulder showed sales
tax revenues increased through August. The Pearl
Street Mall was up 6.64%, Downtown outside the Mall was up 3.22
and the total Boulder revenue was up 2.40%. For

The
Pearl Street Stampede
The Bricks of Pearl Street are the place to be this
Friday as the Stampede will
rally Downtown Boulder’s
locals and visitors for an evening of music,
celebration and fun. Starting at 7 p.m. on the 1300
block of Pearl Street, the Golden Buffalo Marching
Band will entertain with the CU Football team mingling
with fans of all ages.
The Stampede will head west on
Pearl Street towards The Camera, so dress in your
CU best, come on out and cheer on our team as they
get ready to battle Kansas State! Bring the family
out for a Stampede like you’ve

for Native Ecosystems and the Rwanda Healing Project in
welcoming renowned
author Terry Tempest Williams to
the historic Boulder Theater on
October 27. The
evening will feature readings by Terry from
her new book Finding
Beauty in a Broken World ,
an interactive discussion with the audience,
a book signing, a silent auction
benefiting Center for Native Ecosystems and
handmade goods by the "barefoot
artists" of
Rwanda. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit
Center for Native Ecosystems and the Rwanda
Healing.

Arts and Crafts Gallery, an artist owned and operated
cooperative, is looking for new work for display
in their store on an ongoing basis. Consignment
applications can be picked up at the gallery, obtained
