A reminder to all that Downtown Boulder's Munchkin Masquerade is on Thursday October 29 this year due to the Pearl Street Stampede and CU Homecoming the next two nights . So join us in Downtown Boulder October 29 when Pearl Street is invaded by tiny ghosts & goblins, dinosaurs & dragons, fairies & princes, super heroes and animals of every size trick-or-treating along Pearl Street's pedestrian mall and the East and West Ends. Celebrating its' 5th year, the Pearl Street Stampede has become a wonderful community tradition and a perfect opportunity for downtown families and visitors alike to showcase pride and support for CU! Boulder Gold Wrap Up
This year, 24 businesses within Downtown Boulder made the list (in 28 categories). The Pearl Street Mall also received accolades as the Best Shopping Destination (within Colorado) as well as the Best Place to Entertain Kids.

City Council Candidate forum this Friday
PLAN-Boulder County will hold the second of three Boulder City Council candidate forums Friday. The forum will feature four of the 13 City Council candidates -- Planning Board member K.C. Becker, activist Seth Brigham, endurance athlete and businessman Barry Siff and artist and activist Rob Smoke. The forum takes place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 9 in the Creekside Room at the Boulder Public Library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave.
Downtown Biz Shredding Event?
Attention Downtown Businesses: Earlier this year, we hosted an electronics recycling event for any business within the Business Improvement District (BID) who was interested. We would now like to gauge interest in a paper shredding event. If you are a business located within the BID and would be interested in a shredding event, please send an email to Dave Adams (dave@dbi.org).
Growing Up Boulder
Growing Up Boulder is a collaborative initiative between the City of Boulder, the Boulder Valley School District and the University of Colorado to engage youth in local decision-making that affects them.
They are holding a kickoff celebration on sATURDAY October 10 in the Glenn Miller Ballroom at the University Memorial Center on CU's campus from 12-6 pm. While all ages are welcome, the celebration specifically invites middle-school and high-school students who live in Boulder or go to school in Boulder to join them for an afternoon of fun and learning. Boulder Arts & Crafts Souper Bowlder: Painting Deadline Oct. 15
Boulder Arts & Crafts Gallery will host Souper Bowlder October 21 through November 8. For 13 years Souper Bowlder has helped raise funds and awareness for those less fortunate in our community. Potters donate hundreds of bowls; all proceeds from the sales of the bowls are donated to local charity organizations. This year local volunteers can pay $10 each for the opportunity to paint bowls at Color Me Mine then decorate a bowl anytime through October 15th. Souper Bowlder 2009 will support the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. Click here for more.
