Congratulations to IRONMAN Boulder Athletes!
Athletes and spectators from all over the world came together in Boulder on August 3 to partake in one of the world's most popular triathlons.
Boulder resident Justin Daerr (USA) and Danielle Kehoe (USA) each took home their first ever IRONMAN wins in comeback fashion with times of 8:20:26 and 9:19:54, respectively. Congratulations to all of the participants in this spectacular event!

Pearl Street Stampedes
Thursday, August 28 | 7PM | 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall
The Pearl Street Stampedes march through Downtown Boulder the night before CU home football games. Hundreds of Buffs fans line the Pearl Street Mall to enjoy the sounds of the Golden Buffalo Marching Band and cheer on members of the CU football team and other special guests. This year, Stampedes head west on Pearl, then south on 11th Street, and then east on Walnut to the parking lot between Walnut Brewery and T|ACO on Walnut Street.
Pearl Street Stampedes will take place every Friday before home football games.

USA Pro Cycling Challenge: Stage 7 Start
Saturday, August 24 | Throughout Downtown Boulder
On August 24th, stage 7 of the 2014 USA Pro Cycling Challenge will kick off at noon at 18th & Pearl streets! The race will circle around downtown a couple of times then through Golden and over Lookout Mountain, finishing with three circuits around Downtown Denver. The race is the largest spectator event in Colorado history and one of the largest sporting events to ever take place in the United States. Spectators will see Olympians, World Champions and Tour de France competitors.

Tulip Bulb Giveaway
Monday, August 25 | 11AM | 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall
City of Boulder's Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual tulip bulb give-away for residents. One bag per Boulder resident and a small monetary donation is requested. City of Boulder's Parks and Recreation staff change the variety and color of the tulips planted on the Pearl Street Mall every year to provide a unique and impressive display each spring. Mall tulips are imported directly from Holland.
