First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. This year, November 27 is the first ever Small Business Saturday, a day to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country. Small Business Saturday is a national movement to drive shoppers to local merchants across the U.S. Downtown Boulder joins the national movement spearheaded by American Express OPEN.

Join us as we raise awareness and generate demand for downtown businesses this holiday season and beyond!

Window Wonderland Contest

While you are downtown for Green Friday & Small Business Saturday, enjoy the holiday window displays throughout downtown. When you find your favorite one, take a picture of it and post it on Downtown Boulder's Facebook page.

All those who upload a photo between Friday and Sunday (November 26 - 28) will be entered in a random drawing to receive one of two $50 Downtown Boulder Gift Cards! The winners will be notified next week.

St. Nick on the Bricks

Where: Downtown Visitor Information Center
When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, November 26, and Saturdays from November 27-December 18

Kids of all ages can visit with Santa at the Downtown Boulder Visitor Information Center at 1303 Pearl Street. Whether you are asking for a fire engine for Tommy, a new doll for Sally or a diamond ring for mommy, bring your list and a camera to capture priceless (and free) holiday memories!

Lights of December Parade

Where: Starting at 15th and Walnut streets
When: 6 p.m. Saturday, December 4

Join us for the 23rd annual Lights of December ParadeOver 50 entries by local businesses and organizations! Enjoy high school marching bands, floats, fire engines and more (including a special appearance by Santa himself)!

The parade begins at 15th and Walnut streets with announcing stages at 14th and Walnut and 11th & Pearl streets. Click here for parade route.

Attendees are encouraged to park for free in one of the five city of Boulder parking structures (BoulderParking.com). Please pay special attention to event  No Parking signs along and adjacent to the parade route.  Streets will close at 4 p.m.
