Shop small...it's going to be HUGE!

The 2nd annual Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses on the busiest shopping weekend of the year. This Saturday, pledge to shop small at your favorite Downtown Boulder stores & restaurants and help fuel our local economy.

Several downtown businesses will be celebrating Small Business Saturday and/or participating in a Sidewalk Sale - offering special savings & incentives! Santa will also be around for free visits and photo ops from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Visitor Information Center.

St. Nick on the Bricks

Friday, November 25 and Saturdays from Nov. 26 - Dec. 17 | 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Every holiday season, Santa makes time in his busy schedule to visit with kids of all ages right here in Downtown Boulder! Join him (and the Missus) at the Visitor Information Center this Friday and every Saturday thru December 17, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Don't forget your wish list and bring a camera as photo ops are free and always encouraged!

Lights of December Parade

Saturday December 3 | 6:00 p.m. | Starts at 14th & Walnut

From local high school marching bands and cyclists who adorn their bikes in lights, to hundreds of adorable scout troops and homemade floats, the Lights of December Parade has been a downtown tradition for the past 23 years! Don't miss the 24th annual parade that travels through downtown streets on Saturday, December 3 starting at 6 p.m. Come early and enjoy some shopping and dining! Don't forget that (year round) every Saturday and Sunday in City of Boulder Parking Garages, parking is FREE!

Downtown Boulder's Festival of Trees:
Benefiting Meals on Wheels Boulder

November 19 - December 16

This year, Downtown Boulder is proud to partner with Meals on Wheels Boulder to bring the Festival of Trees to the heart of the city! Between now and December 16 at noon, stop by the 12 downtown businesses who have decorated trees - from the Colorado Tree at Art Source International and the Holiday Book Tree at Boulder Book Store to the Cluttered Christmas Tree at Clutter and the Comfortable Shoe Tree at Pedestrian Shops and so much more! If you see a tree you like, go online to MOWBoulder.org and purchase raffle tickets ($5 ea) for your chance to win the tree of your dreams! The raffle will take place 3 p.m. on December 16 and winners will be notified by phone and/or email! (All proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels Boulder)

Free practical self defense workshop for DBI Members

Thursday, December 1 | 9-10 a.m.

Join Define Defense from 9-10 am for a self defense workshop. This is a free workshop for DBI members. They will be focusing on the basic elements of defending yourself and others while learning about techniques, the mental aspect of self defense and putting these into practice. You can sign up on their online scheduler or in studio before the workshop. No shoes required, please wear comfortable workout clothing.

Gingerbread Tea at the St Julien

Saturdays and Sundays | 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Beginning November 26 thru the holiday season, the St Julien's "Gingerbread Tea," events will be held Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the events will be donated to local non-profit There With Care.

The family-friendly "Gingerbread Tea" events will feature teas by Tea Forte, as well as scones, tea sandwiches, petits fours and gingerbread cookies. As the adults are entertained by Grammy-winning pianist Ralph Sharon, children (donning a chef's hat and apron) will enjoy the opportunity to decorate gingerbread men, aided by a St Julien chef.

Reservations can be made by either calling the St Julien concierge at 720-406-8208 or by visiting OpenTable.com. Tickets are $29.95 for adults and $19.95 for children.
