Winter Bike to Work Day

Give winter cycling a try and you’ll be rewarded!

The City of Boulder is celebrating its 3rd annual Winter Bike to Work Day to reward those who ride their bike all or part of the way to work, school or another destination around town. Ride and receive a free breakfast at participating locations. Please take a moment to complete the online form. In return for completing the online registration form, you will be entered into a drawing for fabulous prizes including Eldora lift tickets, Smartwool under the helmet beanies, Smartwool socks, Cateye headlights and taillights, and Sierra Designs winter biking jackets.

This year's festivities are presented by the City of Boulder/GO Boulder in partnership with the CU-Boulder Environmental Center and Boulder County Transportation Department.

EnergySmart Advising

In May 2010, The City of Boulder, as well as Boulder, Denver and Garfield counties received a $25 million federal grant from the Department of Energy's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding. The City and County are working together to use this grant funding to expand the city's Climate Action Plan programs to a countywide audience.

Formerly referred to as, "Two Techs and a Truck," EnergySmart provides efficiency solutions for your home and business with a personalized EnergySmart Advisor who will quickly install efficient light bulbs, showerheads and faucet aerators, insulation for water pipes, basic air sealing and other services. For businesses, these installations also include LED exit signs and vending machine automation.

Downtown Boulder Annual Luncheon Wednesday, January 10 St Julien Hotel - 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Downtown Boulder, Inc.'s annual meeting is an opportunity for DBI  members to come together and celebrate the accomplishments of the prior year.  Awards are given in following categories; Business of the Year, Community Service, Outstanding Property Owner, Rising Star and the Ron Porter Lifetime Achievement Award.  Tickets are $45 per person or $390 for a table of ten.  Contact events@dbi.org for more information or to purchase tickets.

 

 

Downtown Green: 10 for Change

Has your local business joined 10 for Change yet? Join over 100 Boulder businesses attempting to reduce their energy use by 10% in one year. The program is voluntary and free  for commercial businesses in Boulder County who wish to save money on utility bills. Registration takes five minutes!

Benefits include regular networking events and educational tours and workshops, member to member marketing, recognition and access to financial incentives.
