Boulder Public Library presents Shakespeare on Film Macbeth
Directed by Roman Polanski, with Jon Fitch, Francesca Annis, Martin Shaw, Nicholas Selby (U.K.—1971). Murderously obsessed Macbeth and Lady Macbeth follow the prophesies of three witches in an attempt to seize the throne of Scotland. Polanski’s adaptation is considered one of the most inspired in its recreation of the original barbarism in Shakespeare’s play. (140 min.)
