[Boulder, CO] August 29, 2011 – On the evening of September 8, Downtown Boulder proudly joins over 250 U.S. cities and 16 international cities around the globe for Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) - the third year of this unprecedented global initiative. Today, Boulder Mayor Susan Osborne issued an official proclamation on behalf of Downtown Boulder’s event. “We are very excited to receive the proclamation from Mayor Osborne,” said Anna Salim, event manager for Downtown Boulder. “All of the participating businesses have been working hard to ensure the success of FNO. It means a great deal to all of us to have the encouragement and support of the city.”

Fashion’s Night Out festivities in the downtown district kick off at 6 p.m. in front of the County Courthouse on the Pearl Street Mall (1300 block) with a “flash” of excitement led by Alchemy of Movement followed by a not-to-be-missed event paying tribute to the fashion industry while highlighting several of the trendy, upscale businesses that make up the downtown landscape. Blair Griffith, Miss Colorado USA will make a special appearance during the kickoff and also be available for a meet and greet / autograph session immediately following. Following the kickoff celebration, 16 businesses will host official FNO events. Attendees will enjoy everything from fashion shows, live music and DJs to food & wine, trunk shows and amazing giveaways & gifts with purchase. Restaurants and other downtown businesses are also rolling out their red carpets to help transform Downtown Boulder into a fashion wonderland. This year’s FNO official participants include: Art+Soul, Barbara & Company, Buffalo Exchange, Chelesa, Common Era, Lilli, Pedestrian Shops, Savvy on Pearl, Starr’s Clothing, Steve Madden, The Ritz, Topo Ranch, Twig Hair Salon, Two Sole Sisters, Violette & Weekends.
