Bands on the Bricks Newbie

Category: Boulder Blog

Post Date: Tuesday, July 3, 2018

Last week I finally got to experience Bands On The Bricks, and let me tell you it was a lot of fun! I had two of my pals tag along and we headed straight for the beer garden for some of the renowned Rio margaritas. Then we settled in near the front of the beer garden for a prime view of the show. Tenth Mountain Division put on quite the performance, everyone in the audience was dancing and interacting with the band. It was exciting for me to see all of Boulder coming together downtown as a community for this free event. People of all ages joined together to dance and have a good time.

This honestly was the first time I had been to an event like this, and I can’t wait to go again. Even my friends mentioned that we should start going to Bands On The Bricks every Wednesday! With new bands every week it’s hard to say no to heading downtown to enjoy some live music and refreshing drinks.

With that being said, tomorrow is not only Bands on the Bricks, but also the 4th of July and I think it’s safe to say you’ll know where to find me. 4th on Pearl is going to be a huge event with even more bands. The extended beer garden opens at 12 pm, with the show set to end at 8 pm just in time to catch the fireworks at Folsom. Everyone’s been raving about the Hazel Miller Band, so I’m looking forward to seeing them live starting at 6 pm! Before Hazel, come down to enjoy Many Mountains at 1 pm and Sonic Arcade at 3:30 pm. Plus there will be games out on the lawn which I’m a huge fan of, I can never pass up a quality game of cornhole. So don’t miss tomorrow’s 4th on Pearl event, it’s going to be one for the books! Make sure to check out the full schedule at 4thOnPearl.com and I hope to see you all there.

Best,

Intern Tyla
