So Long, Farewell!

It has been such a fun journey interning at the Downtown Boulder Partnership these past few months. I have gained so much insight into the daily happenings in downtown Boulder, and I learned how fortunate we all are to be surrounded by so many lovely local businesses! Downtown Boulder has definitely become one of my favorite places - it will forever carry a sweet spot in my heart!

This internship not only instilled in me a love for the downtown community, but I have been taught so many rewarding skills by such hardworking and amazing people! DBP immediately welcomed me with open arms and have been incredibly patient in teaching me new skills. In my time here I learned marketing skills, social media analytics and I improved my writing. I feel so lucky to be a part of this organization and to have worked on great events like Fall Fest, Munchkin Masquerade and Switch on the Holidays.

This opportunity has taught me plenty of random facts about downtown (like all of its ghost stories!) and getting to share those fun facts with my visiting family and friends from CU has been such a treat! Some of my favorite new finds in downtown have been Zoe Ma Ma (they have the BEST noodles), Rebecca’s Herbal Apothecary & Supply (which I wrote about in my first blog) and West End Salon, where I got an amazing balayage and a great trim!

I am so excited to continue exploring downtown Boulder as I enter into my second semester of junior year at CU. Next up I will be studying abroad in Europe, but I am so thrilled to then return back to Boulder and experience a Boulder summer! Thank you Downtown Boulder for being the icing on the chocolate cake to my college experience!

My best to you,

Intern Alicia
