For the 2016 Super Bowl, view the Super Bowl 2016 in Boulder post!
This Sunday, I’m only watching TV to see Beyonce’s live performance and to critique the most expensive commercials. For those of you more interested in that thing called the Super Bowl, here are some ideas that will make your day a good one, whether your team wins or not!
This year the Lazy Dog Sports Bar & Grill is taking a different approach. They are hosting a family-oriented Super Bowl day party. Whether you’re looking for something fun for the whole family, or just trying to avoid rowdy fraternity boys, the Lazy Dog is the place to go.
To all of you who haven’t booked your spring break trips yet: if you buy the 47th order of 12 wings at West End Tavern this Sunday, you win a free trip to Mexico!
West Flanders Brewery is also offering special deals including: all day happy hour on Super Bowl Sunday and $2 off West Flanders beers, wine and specialty cocktails.
The Attic Bar & Bistro is another great place to watch the game. Starting at 11:30 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday, you can buy a bottled Miller Light for $2.50 and $2 mimosas! If you’re not interested in the commercials as much as I am, they have foosball and pool tables to keep you entertained.
For those of you who are planning on hosting your own Super Bowl festivities, stock up on beverages at Liquor Mart. This Sunday through Tuesday all cases of wine are 20 percent off, and with a purchase of a keg, you will get a free bag of ice and cups!
The Super Bowl kicks off 6:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (that’s 4:30 p.m. for all of us Coloradans), so be sure to start watching right away because you can’t miss Alicia Keys’ performance of the national anthem! I hope you take advantage of some of these deals, and go celebrate with friends and family.
