We all know Amazon.com is the largest e-commerce marketplace and cloud computing platform in the world as measured by revenue and market capitalization, but beyond the prime 2-day loving shopper what else does Amazon offer? Amazon Web Services, or AWS!

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a cloud solution that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms to individuals, companies, and governments, on a metered pay-as-you-go basis.

AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon. The technology allows users to provision servers, manage users, write code without the worry of infrastructure and much more.

Galvanize alumnus Austin Loveless is excited to introduce you to the world of AWS!

What you will learn:

During this workshop, Austin will give a high level overview of AWS, and walk you through building an API using API gateway, Lambda and Dynamodb with the serverless framework.

Who is this for?

This workshop is for anyone interested in cloud computing, all that is required is a laptop and the desire to learn.

Join our AWS Slack workplace!

About Our Presenter:

Austin Loveless is a Galvanize Web Development Immersive graduate and a certified AWS Solutions Architect working as a Software Engineer at Entercom in Denver. To prepare for the AWS Certification he incorporated AWS services in every project he built during his time at Galvanize. Prior to Galvanize, Austin was in the Navy and attended college where he fell in love with software. Now he works hands on with Node and AWS. In his spare time he likes to work on building a competitive CodeWars app for mobile devices, allowing users to do coding challenges through a mobile app.
