Come celebrate the release of Finn O’Sullivan's new EP, pitypartythoughts, at The Tune-Up in Boulder. Lots of new songs, both from the new EP and songs that have yet to be recorded. Fun covers. New merch. Guest musicians. Bring your friends and join the crowd. Everyone’s doing it.

Indie pop artist Finn O'Sullivan got her start performing Taylor Swift concerts in her bedroom while her parents were out. The Boulder, CO-based singer-songwriter picked up her first guitar at age 12 and hasn't put it down. She produced her own EP at age 14, won Boulder's Handmade Songs contest as a high school freshman, and has released two additional EP's in the last year.

In addition to guitar, Finn plays ukulele and piano, and her sound has been compared to such artists as Regina Spektor, Dodie Clark, and Phoebe Bridgers. She says that songwriting is a way for her to express herself and talk about things that are important to her, which is sometimes hard for her to do in everyday conversation. She is "committed to creating things that other people can relate to," and her songs are a testament to this commitment.

With an Instagram tagline of “love, heartbreak and self-deprecation,” she writes about the universal themes of love and loss with both humor and compassion. Her songs are, indeed, relatable. In one of her songs, Finn muses about a habit of putting her "faith in things that tend to fall apart, secretly hoping I can turn it into art." When you see her live, you will hope the same. Finn's turns of phrase and sometimes surprising chord progressions evidence a maturity in musicianship far beyond her years. Her lyrics range from old soul to millennial quirky, and her clever, catchy tunes simply get stuck in your head.
