White Rock Vineyards is a small, 35 acre, family estate, originally planted in 1870 at the base of the Stags’ Leap district of Napa Valley. The Vandendriessche family took over the estate in 1977 and moved their young family into the old winery. The vineyards have only ever been farmed naturally – never having been exposed to herbicides or pesticides (a rare find in Napa).
The wines are made in an old world sensibility, with a limited amount of new French oak, and always focused on expressing the terroir of the unique site. These wines are special. Lovers of Stony Hill, Joseph Swan, and Dunn will find themselves gravitating to White Rock’s Chardonnay, Claret and Cabernet. We will have National Sales Manager Heather Conlin with us for the first White Rock Monday night at Frasca.
