Susan Purvis will speak about and sign her new book, "Go Find: My Journey to Find the Lost--And Myself," on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:30pm.
About the Book:
When she learns about avalanches that bury people without warning, Susan Purvis challenges herself: "What if I teach a dog to save lives?" "Go Find" tells the story of Susan’s quest to train the best possible search dog, vowing to never leave anyone behind. With no clue how to care for a dog, she chooses a Labrador retriever, Tasha, who tests Susan's determination to transform her into a rescue dog. And as the first female team in a male-dominated field, they face resistance at every turn.
