It you've ever wondered if each lava flow off of active volcano Mt. Etna could be an individualized terroir, or how the seemingly 'no-man's land' between Tuscany and Lazio could produce such compelling wine, this is a Tastemaker Dinner you won't want to miss! We are thrilled to be  hosting Carlo Franchetti, who alongside his cousin, Andrea, owns Vini Franchetti.

To say their vineyard projects have been anything but easy is an understatement. Andrea Franchetti created his first estate, Tenuta di Trinoro, from scratch, on rough farm and woodland in the far-flung reaches of southwest Tuscany. Though a significant challenge, this was equaled by his endeavor with Passopisciaro on the slopes of Mt. Etna, which involved the renaissance of reclaimed formerly abandoned terraces of vines upon Sicily’s live volcano.

Both sites are extraordinary, complex, and couldn't be more different in terms of terroir. These are two beautiful expressions of the character of each region. This will be an all red wine Tastemaker Dinner - you won't want to miss it!
