Starting June 1st, Downtown Boulder’s Bands on the Bricks is back for a ten week free concert series on the Pearl Street Mall every Wednesday
[BOULDER, CO] May 24, 2016 – Bands on the Bricks 19th concert season kicks off next Wednesday (June 1, 2016) with a performance by Euforquestra. This six person band's ever-evolving sound has been influenced by music from all over the world blending the roots of funk, soul, afrobeat, reggae and dub. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Produced by Downtown Boulder, Inc. (DBI) and presented by RE/MAX of Boulder, the 2016 lineup includes Bands on the Bricks alumni like The Hazel Miller Band, That Eighties Band and The Wendy Woo Band and also welcomes some groups that are new to Bands on the Bricks including The Railsplitters, ZYZZYX and PJ Zahn.

The Downtown Boulder Beer, Wine & Margarita Garden will open each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall. Celebrating its seventh season, the garden welcomes guests 21 years and older with $8 Rio Margaritas (3 drink limit per person). In June, West Flanders will serve up $5 craft beers and Avery Brewing Company will offer different selections in July and August. Attendees can enjoy pre-concert entertainment with local up-and-coming musicians taking the stage at 6 p.m. before the main acts perform.
*Bands on the Bricks, 2016 season will end with a very special performance on Friday, August 5th when IRONMAN Boulder joins DBI to co-host a special concert by Colorado’s own The Samples. This second annual event is free and open to the public and serves as the kickoff celebration for IRONMAN Boulder participants, families and friends. (The third annual IRONMAN Boulder takes place August 7th.)
