Downtown Boulder's 32nd Annual Fall Fest Happens This Weekend on the Pearl Street Mall

The three day autumn celebration featuring live music, the Firefly Handmade Market and Free Children’s Activities

[Boulder, CO]  September 10, 2019 –  This weekend the Downtown Boulder Foundation proudly presents the 32nd annual Fall Fest.  Unlike a traditional Oktoberfest, Fall Fest takes the best of a variety of elements and puts them all together for a weekend of entertainment for the entire family.

This year, on Saturday and Sunday, children will enjoy free activities (bounce house, a giant slide and an obstacle course at the Eldora Mountain Children’s Area on the Boulder County Courthouse lawn).

For the third year, Firefly Handmade Markets will host their annual Fall Market during the event.  Over 100 artisans will showcase local goods including carefully curated hand-crafted jewelry, food and gifts. The Firefly Markets draw a loyal following of vendors and customers who are passionate about the handmade movement, and who have made it the largest premier "handmade only" market in Boulder and the Front Range.

On Friday at 7 p.m., Fall Fest crowds will experience a Pearl Street Stampede (CU football pep rally) before the Buffs take on the Air Force Academy on Saturday.   Members of the Golden Buffalo Marching Band, football team, staff and coaches and spirit squad will energize visitors along the Pearl Street Mall starting on the 1300 block and heading west – stopping to perform along the way.

This year’s Fall Fest live musical lineup begins Friday night at 5:00 p.m. with Chris Daniels and the Kings with Freddi Gowdy followed by Funkiphino at 8 p.m. after the Pearl Street Stampede.  Saturday’s performances include Boulder Suzuki Strings, Guerrilla Fanfare and more during the day and The Goonies take the stage at 7 p.m.  Sunday concludes with Liver Down the River.   For a complete schedule of the musical lineup visit BoulderFallFest.com.

This year the beer/wine/margarita garden on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall will feature brews from Avery Brewing Company ($5/glass) and Downtown Boulder Partnership house margaritas ($8/glass).  Local food options will be available from Boulder Bowls, Fast Eddie's Hot Dogs, McDevitt Taco Supply & Falafel King – not to mention the many restaurants throughout downtown located on the Pearl Street Mall and adjacent streets.
