Taste of Pearl Highlights Boulder’s Best Restaurants, Galleries and Boutiques with Colorado Wineries and Distilleries

Explore Boulder’s culinary art scene and vibrant downtown at this one-of-a-kind experience on Sunday, April 23.

Boulder, CO [February 28, 2017] – In an unforgettable afternoon, sample some of Boulder’s best restaurants paired with Colorado wines and distilleries in downtown’s vibrant boutiques and galleries during the 8th annual Taste of Pearl. Featuring 15 restaurants, 15 boutiques/galleries, 10 wineries and 5 distilleries, Taste of Pearl is a wonderful way to explore Boulder’s culinary arts and shopping scenes.

New this year, 5 Colorado distilleries will be featured at the event.With so many distilleries offering unique selections of spirits, we thought that Taste of Pearl would be a fantastic event to highlight a few of the best Colorado has to offer,” says Anna Salim, VP of Events for the Downtown Boulder Partnership (DBP).

Attendees will savor bite size samples from participating restaurants: Aji Latin American Restaurant, Centro Mexican Kitchen, Flagstaff House, Frasca Food & Wine, Japango, Jax Fish House, Jill's Restaurant & Bistro, Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant, OAK at fourteenth, Pizzeria Locale, Riffs Urban Fare, SALT the Bistro, Ted's Montana Grill, West End Tavern and Wild Standard.

Participating wineries include: Aspen Peak Cellars, Balistreri Vineyards, Bookcliff Vineyards, Decadent Saint Winery, Garfield Estates Winery, Grande River Vineyards, Kingman Estates Winery, Redstone Meadery, Settembre Cellars and Two Rivers Winery

Featured Colorado Distilleries: Altitude Spirits, Deviant Spirits, Geek Spirits, J&L Distilling Company and Vapor Distillery.

Host locations: Art + Soul Gallery, Art Source International, Barbara & Company, Common Era, Fjallraven, Island Farm, John Atencio, Ku Cha House of Tea, Patagonia, Pedestrian Shops, prAna, Savory Spice, SmithKlein Gallery, Starr's Clothing and Weekends.

This year’s Taste of Pearl happens Sunday, April 23 (rain/snow/shine) from 2 pm – 6 pm at the 15 Pearl Street host locations. Pairings will be announced to attendees upon check-in.  Walking distance between venues covers 7 short blocks and gives attendees the opportunity to enjoy the amazing tulip displays along the Pearl Street Mall. Tickets go on sale March, 1 at TasteOfPearl.com.

General Admission tickets are $65 per person. VIP tickets are $75 per person and include early VIP check in from 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm and a special to-go dessert from Kilwins Boulder. The number of VIP tickets is limited. You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase a ticket. Ticket includes entry to all 15 event locations for samples of food and wine and spirit tastings, keepsake bag and wine glass. GA check in will begin at 1:45 pm on the 1300 block of Pearl Street. The event is expected to sell out, so plan to purchase tickets in advance (the event is designed to accommodate 600 attendees to ensure the intimate experience).

This event highlights our vibrant downtown shopping and dining scenes together.”
