FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On August 22nd, Downtown Boulder will host over 20 craft breweries in West Central Park for this craft beer tasting extravaganza

Boulder, Colorado [June 5, 2015] – Tickets for the 2nd annual Boulder Craft Beer Festival happening August 22nd are now on sale at www.BoulderCraftBeerFest.com.  This year’s event will take place from 1 – 5 p.m. in West Central Park (west of Broadway on Canyon Boulevard).   A list of participating craft breweries can be found online at www.BoulderCraftBeerFest.com.

New this year, more craft breweries from Boulder County and beyond will be participating for the first time including: Asher Brewing Co., Crystal Springs, Finkel & Garf and more.   Also new, VIP ticket option ($50 in advance) includes early entry (at noon) and a commemorative t-shirt.  Only a limited number of VIP tickets will be sold.

Craft beer enthusiasts will sample over 45 craft beers on tap and enjoy live music by Strange Americans from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. and The Railsplitters from 3 – 5 p.m.  There will also be a variety of food trucks providing delectable eats (for purchase) and a selection of lawn games (ping-pong & cornhole) set up for (free) use throughout the event.   (The complete list of food vendors will be announced on the BoulderCraftBeerFest.com website in early August.)

General admission ticket prices are $35 in advance and include a commemorative sampling glass, 2 oz pours and small tasty snacks provided by Kettle Brand.  All attendees are urged to taste responsibly.  No one under the age of 21 will be allowed to sample. Prior to entry, IDs will be checked and wristbands will be provided. A Designated Driver (DD) ticket is available for $10 in advance and includes unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and a $10 Food Ticket voucher redeemable with all food vendors onsite.   The DD ticket can ONLY BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE at www.BoulderCraftBeerFest.com.

“Last year the fest sold out which is impressive for an inaugural event. It is a strong indication that Boulder was overdue for a first-class craft beer festival.  We are excited that the Colorado Brewers Guild has expressed their support and encouraged other great local breweries to participate this year,” said Sean Maher, Downtown Boulder’s CEO.  “I’m encouraging people to buy their tickets in advance,” said Anna Salim, Event Director.  “We have about 2,000 tickets available all together.  With so many high profile craft breweries participating, there is a high likelihood that tickets will sell out prior to the event date.” If the event does not sell out prior to August 22nd, day of ticket prices will be $40 (general admission) and $55 (VIP). Additional information on day of ticket sales can be found on the website.

Designated drivers will find a variety of parking options available.  City of Boulder parking garages will be free (Saturdays and Sundays, City of Boulder garages are free year round).  Attendees are also encouraged to consider taking local public transportation (visit GoBoulder.com) for options.  There will also be a bike valet onsite (for a small fee) at the event.  See website for more information.

The Boulder Craft Beer Festival is produced by Downtown Boulder, Inc. and presented by Liquor Mart.  Supporting sponsors include: Colorado Brewers Guild, Savory Spice Shop, Kettle Brand and the Daily Camera.

A portion of the Boulder Craft Beer Fest ticket sale proceeds will be donated to the Colorado Brewers Guild.  The Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG) is a non-profit trade association promoting the Colorado craft brewing industry.  With over 160 Colorado craft breweries and counting, CBG provides information for Colorado beer lovers, and promotes Colorado craft breweries by advocating positive public policy for Colorado craft beer.
