"I had a hobby of baking cookies, it started off with me just delivering baked goods to coffee shops on my lunch break while working at a sandwich shop."
What's one thing you wish you knew when you opened?
"No matter how stressful it gets, we're still selling desserts."
How did you wind up in this location?
"I was living in the alley house right behind the store. The building was scheduled to be torn down so I called the landlord and he let me rent it!"
Favorite thing on the menu?
"The Max Bar! I was making granola. With all of the ingredients spread out on the counter, I asked my son, Max, what I should add first and he responded "almond butter." We went from there and made a bar!"
Best advice you've been given?
"We're about to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Maybe I'll look into getting a liquor license!"
