New Buffs Bucket List

There are tons of ways for students to enjoy Pearl Street, even with a limited budget. The "New Buffs" itinerary includes several don't-miss spots in the downtown Boulder area to help students get acquainted with the Pearl Street area. With this list of exciting restaurants and stores, you'll find yourself going from a first-timer to a regular in no time.

Did you know that Pearl Street has its very own bronze buffalo that matches the statue on CU Campus, just outside of Folsom Field? Visit this gentle animal on the 1100 block, just outside of the Boulder Book Store, and snap some photos! (1107 Pearl St)

On the same block, swing by student-favorite Lindsay's Boulder Deli at Haagen Dazs for soups, ice cream, and some of the craziest and most delicious sandwiches that Boulder has to offer. (1148 Pearl St)

After lunch, stroll along the Pearl Street Mall and shop hip fashions from retailers like Savvy, check out Into the Wind for doo-dads or Meta Skate for some of the freshest skate gear. If the walls of your new dorm or apartment are still looking a little empty, PosterScene has got you covered. (1114 Pearl St, 1211 Pearl St, 1505 Pearl St)

Enjoy happy hour at the Lazy Dog Sports Bar & Grill (even if you aren't 21 yet, this place has amazing happy hour deals on food). This Pearl Street staple boasts extensive food specials during happy hour and a breathtaking rooftop patio where you can gaze out over your new home. (1346 Pearl St)

Football games in the Fall won't be complete without some serious Buff swag from Where the Buffalo Roam. Rep your school spirit! (1320 Pearl St)

After dinner, grab dessert at the Sunshine Shave Ice or Glacier Homemade Ice Cream food carts and push your way through the crowd to enjoy front-row viewing of one of the many Pearl Street busker famous performances. (1200 or 1300 blocks of Pearl St)
