Game Day with Pasta Jay's

Jay Elowsky's grandma (MaMa Genovese) was the cook for the first King of the United Countries of Italy, Victor Emanuel the Second. Proud of his culinary heritage, Jay has been using family recipes at Pasta Jay's to feed locals and visitors for over three decades! Jay is a huge Buffs fan and is proud to be one of the founders of the legendary Pearl Street Stamepede that happens on the eve of every CU home football game.

I start off game day with the best tailgate party that Colorado has ever seen at Franklin Field. Pasta Jay's partners with Great Western Bank to host a tent featuring Boulder Beer and Pasta Jay's food to kick-off the fun. Then I go to the game, and cheer on the Buffs! I have to say that the best spot to watch the game is definitely Folsom Field. Nothing beats the energy of the crowd at the stadium. If you don't have tickets, my favorite spot to watch the game is the West End Tavern

After the game, I head back downtown reveling and singing the fight song down the mall to celebrate our victory. T|ACO is my favorite stop for celebratory drinks along the way. We'll stop at Pasta Jay's to check in on the after-party there.

My favorite shop for CU apparel is Where the Buffalo Roam. My kids and I shop there for Buffs gear and I always recommend them to anyone looking to get decked out in the best CU apparel.

If I have any friends or family that are traveling into town to see the game, I always send them to the St Julien to get the best hotel experience in Boulder!
