    New Date! Get the scoop on magazine freelancing, from developing editor-pleasing ideas to packing query letters with punch. Learn about the different types of magazine articles, including those most accessible for first-time freelancers. Tickets are $40. Workshops take place in the Upper North Room and are taught by Lori DeBoer and Jayme Otto. Register at the front desk of Boulder Book Store. Tickets include a $20 certificate toward coaching from Lori DeBoer. About the Instructors: Lori DeBoer (www.lorideboer.com) is the author of The Insiders’ Guide to Phoenix, 2nd Edition, and has written for Arizona Highways, AAA Highroads, America West Airlines Magazine and elsewhere and has taught magazine writing at Arizona State University. She works in Boulder as a writing coach. Jayme Otto (www.jaymeotto.com) is the new managing editor for Elevation Outdoors and is contributing editor for Women’s Adventure. Her writing has appeared in Backpacker, Bicycling, Hemispheres, Sunset, The Ecologist and others.
