Mark Mandeville & Old Constitution to hit the Road for 10 week U.S. CD Release Tour this Fall Since 2006, the collaboration between Mark Mandeville and his musical soul mate Raianne Richards have produced the delicate compositions of "The Accident That Led Me To The World," as well as two distinct solo records, and this fall the duo will be accompanied by drummer Dylan S. Clark and guitarist Zach Peckham to herald the release of Mandeville's Old Constitution. This unexpected joining of veteran musicians transmits in full stereo the carefully arranged folk/country sound recently commanded by Mandeville and Richards. Mandeville and Richards have performed hundreds of concerts across the US and Canada and have sold thousands of their original recordings - released on Massachusetts based indie label Nobody’s Favorite Records. These artists have shared the stage with acts like The Low Anthem, Brownbird, and David Wax Museum. In 2010, the duo also founded the non-profit Massachusetts Walking Tour, a yearly bi-pedal tour of the state which serves to support local arts and culture [www.masswalkingtour.com]. Old Constitution amplifies Mandeville and Richards' acoustic style through the tasteful brush percussion of Dylan S. Clark, drummer for The Points North, and aggressive electric jangle by Motel Mattress guitarist Zach Peckham. Studio musicians include pianist Doug Williamson, pedal steel and dobro player Peter Hart, and vocalist Hannah Peckham. Carefully crafted folk songs tastefully arranged and presented in a popular fashion, by definition Americana or lamely, folk rock - songs range from jumpy swing tracks (featuring Richards on electric bass), to bluegrass, country, and that lonely sound which has kept listening audiences captivated in anxious wonder. Mandeville and Richards' haunting harmonies, now supported by full band arrangements, will be the soundtrack cued for 2011. Recent press from an interview about the new album with Chris McGovern from The Glass reports ""This could very well be one of the most anticipated indie releases of the year." Touring the U.S. this fall for 10 weeks with dates from Massachusetts up into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and over west to Denver, CO.
