This concert marks the fifth anniversary for the musical community of Resonance Women’s Chorus. “The theme of ‘Journey’ seemed perfect for this event,” said Artistic Director Sue Coffee. “One of the big community over the years of singing together: the witnessing and celebrating of each other’s lives that infuses the music with such depth and meaning.”
Selections include the premiere of Salmon Run, by composer Marjan Helms, jointly commissioned by Resonance and the Grand Rapids Women’s Chorus; and Always Coming Home, with music by Joan Szymko and
text by Ursula LeGuin.
The concert will also celebrate the release of Resonance’s first CD, titled Time and Chance.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors and children. They can be purchased through the Community Box
