World Tibet Day is the largest Tibetan and Himalayan festival in Colorado with over 1500 people attending every year and is organized by the Tibetan Association of Colorado. WTD is held in over 57 cities around the world and is a celebration of the heritage and culture of Tibet. In honor of one of the world's leading messengers of ethics and peace, WTD is held on the birthday of the Dalai Lama. Therefore, WTD is not only a fun and informative event with live bands, Tibetan food, Himalayan arts and crafts, folk dances and exhibits for people of all ages but also an affirmation of all people's desire for happiness, understanding and peace.
