Souper Bowlder Fundraiser: 3 Ways to Help
October 20th, and Oct. 26 through November 5, 2007

Boulder Arts & Crafts, 1421 Pearl Street Mall, will host Souper Bowlder again this year ! For 11 years Souper Bowlder has helped raise funds and awareness for those less fortunate in our community. Potters donate hundreds of bowls; all proceeds of the sales of the bowls are donated to local charity organizations.

This year you can help support the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless and the Mental Health Center of Boulder and Broomfield Counties at least 3 ways.

#1 - Your Invitation to a Bowl-A-Thon!
Help Decorate Bowls Saturday October 20th

October 20th Artist potter Shelley Goddard will open her own studio for Souper Bowlder enthusiasts to contirbute their artistic skills as they decorate bowls that will be sold at Boulder Arts & Crafts starting Oct. 26th.
A $5.00 donation is suggested to help pay for materials.

Saturday Decorating Schedule:

    * 10 am - 4 pm : Families with kids
    * 4 pm - 8 pm : Adults

Please reserve a spot by emailing Lisa or calling 303-443-5409 (Boulder Arts & Crafts office phone).

#2 - Purchase Bowls for $12.95 each !

Plan to shop early for choice bowls made by potters from all over Colorado's front range. Every year local professional and student potters generously donate hundreds of bowls.

This year special thanks go out to Mile High Ceramics, for donating 250 pounds of clay for bowl making to the Boulder Parks and Recreation Department Pottery Lab at 1010 Aurora.

Also for sale will be soup and muffin mixes from the Denver Women's Bean Project, a nonprofit organization that teaches job readiness and life skills for women, with the goal of transforming their lives and moving them toward self sufficiency.

#3 - Purchase the Souper Bowlder Cookbook !

This cookbook promises to be full of great recipes by Boulder Arts & Crafts staff & artist members - they are known to be good cooks. Thanks to Lisa McDonough for collecting recipes and editing this collectible cookbook.
