Spring officially arrives in Downtown Boulder when the beautiful, colorful Tulip Fairy, along with pint-sized fairies and elves, parade around the Pearl Street Mall ‘waking up the tulips’. The event will take place rain or shine – except for a torrential down pour. No decision to cancel the event will be made prior to 2:00. If weather is questionable, please call our Downtown Ambassadors at 303-417-1365 after that time.
This much beloved springtime tradition features special events and activities for girls and boys and more than 15,000 tulips that adorn the world renowned Pearl Street Mall throughout the spring season.

At 3:00 p.m. Join us at our meeting spot with the animal statues in front of Boulder Arts & Crafts Gallery. The Tulip Fairy and stilt-walking fairies from Boulder's Frequent Flyer's Productions will lead all of the little fairies and elves on a short parade to wake up those still sleeping tulips |

At 3:30 p.m. At the end of the parade, take photos with the Tulip Fairy and then join the City of Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks for a performance of Waking Up the Bear. Fairies, elves and their parents will enjoy music by children’s musician Jeff Kagen and Paige Doughty while also learning what to do if they encounter a bear in the wild. |
