25th Annual Downtown Boulder Fall Fest Returns to the Pearl Street Mall This Weekend

Boulder County’s favorite fall celebration brings music, food, arts and a children’s carnival together for an unforgettable family weekend

[Boulder, CO]  September 18, 2012– One of the most highly anticipated events in Boulder is the annual Fall Fest on the Pearl Street Mall.  With its mild temperatures and colorful fall foliage Downtown Boulder provides a perfect fall escape, and this weekend (Sept. 21 - 23), Downtown Boulder, Inc. will host an ideal family adventure.

For three days, the Pearl Street Mall (as well as 14th street between Spruce and Lawry Lane) will be filled with arts & crafts,  a beer garden, live music, children's entertainment (including a children's carnival) and excitement during the 25th annual Downtown Boulder Fall Fest. For a complete list of scheduled activities and musical performances, visit BoulderFallFest.com.

Throughout each day of the Festival, visitors will be entertained with a wide range of musical performances including pop/funk, indie pop, blues/jazz/R&B, kid's music and more. Musicians such as Hazel Miller, Taylor Mesple and Fierce Bad Rabbit to name a few will take the Eldora stage in front of the courthouse on the 1300 block of Pearl. In addition to the diverse group of musicians, Fall Fest will celebrate Playing for Change in partnership with the Boulder Guitar Society. Playing For Change Day (September 22) is a global event where musicians and music lovers come together to bring music into the lives of children and promote positive social change everywhere.  Learn more at PlayingForChangeDay.org.

“We couldn’t ask for a more ideal weekend for this year’s event,” said Anna Salim, Fall Fest event director.  “The autumn temperatures are perfect for enjoying our 25th annual event on the one and only Pearl Street Mall – which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.   In addition to showcasing artisans from across the nation, attendees will enjoy live musical performances from a wide genre of bands.  Avery Brewing Company will be back this year with some of their most popular microbrews including IPA, White Rascal and more.”

Admission to Fall Fest is free and includes all concert performances.  Tickets to the children’s carnival & WoW Bubbles are separate.  Avery Beer, as well as wine and margaritas will be available in the Beer Garden for $5 per glass.

Fall Festival is produced by Downtown Boulder. Inc.
Sponsors include:  City of Boulder Parking Services, 5280 Magazine, Daily Camera, Eldora Mountain Resort & Eco Products.
