Bands on the Bricks

Beer Garden opens at 5:30 p.m. | Opening Act starts at 6:00 p.m. | Headlining Act starts at 7:00 p.m. 

From oldies to alternative and everything in between, Bands on the Bricks is Boulder County's premier outdoor summer concert series taking place in the heart of the city on the bricks of the one-and-only Pearl Street Mall. A not-to-be-missed summer tradition with 10 weeks of free concerts. Enjoy performances from the best local musicians along the front range while dancing under the stars. 

Featuring an outdoor beer/wine/margarita garden starting at 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday night, featuring Rio Margaritas and a local brewery. This summer's brewery line-up includes: West Flanders (June 7 - July 5) and  Avery Brewing Company (July 12 - August 16).

This year, Bands on the Bricks is celebrating its 20th anniversary! The season kicks off with a performance by The Junior Varsity Three, Denver's premiere 90s pop-rock cover trio, in honor of our 1997 beginnings.  Join us to celebrate what has grown into one of the best summer concert series in the state!  On August 9, Bands on the Bricks celebrates the 40th anniversary of the one-and-only Pearl Street Mall!  For this momentous occasion Chris Daniels and the Kings with Freddi Gowdy will headline.  There will be a huge party, not to mention one of the most beloved races in Boulder - the Pearl Street Mile.

June 7 - The Junior Varsity Three 

Opening Act: Employee Appreciation Day Open Mic

The JV3 is Denver’s premiere 90s pop-rock cover trio, turning heads while packing venues and dance floors across the Colorado region since 2007. 


June 14 - The Long Run - 'Colorado's Tribute to the Eagles'

Opening Act: David Coile 

Colorado's tribute to The Eagles, laden with 4 and 5 part harmonies, the Long Run reproduces the Eagles' hits with an organic 70's sound, accurate lead guitarists,
multi-instrumentalists, and a lead-singing drummer.


June 21 - Last Men on Earth

Opening Act: Derek y Daniel 

One of Northern Colorado's newest and most popular live rock bands, playing a mixture of classic cuts from the 70's, 80's, 90's and beyond.  Queen, Journey, The Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, Nickelback, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Bryan Adams , you name it...the list goes on and on.


June 28 - Hazel Miller Band 

Opening Act: Hunter Stone 

A Bands on the Bricks favorite, Hazel is not just a great singer, "she is a force of nature!" The not-to-be-missed performance of the summer.


July 5 - The Goonies 

Opening Act: Donnie Young 

Based in Boulder, CO, this 4-piece rock band will rip your shirts off with their shredding guitar solos and unravel your sense of space and time.  Founded in 1985, after escaping a kidnapping by a large sasquatch, the young rock stars decided to travel through time and come light up the 21st century.  


July 12 - The Tyler Walker Band 

Opening Act: Ian Mahan 

Winners of 97.9's "Big Country's Got Talent" competition, Tyler Walker Band is regularly ranked near the top of the charts regionally on the Reverb Nation Country Charts in Colorado. They were also featured as the Nov. 2013 Colorado Music Buzz Magazine Artists of the month. They have opened for country music legend Travis Tritt, TV/Music star Jana Kramer, and country music stars Ty Herndon, Anita Cochran and Craig Morgan.


July 19 - Quemando Salsa Band

Opening Act: Lucas Swafford

QUEMANDO is a high energy Latin/Salsa powerhouse who regularly packs the St Julien Hotel in Boulder, and brings the best live show filled with hot salsa dancers.


July 26 - Selasee & The Fafa Family - RAINED OUT (rescheduled to August 16)

Opening Act: Niya

Born in Accra, Ghana, Selasee grew up exposed to the colorful and energetic sounds of Highlife Music. With this exposure Selasee created his own style—a unique blend of Reggae, West African Highlife and American Pop music.


August 2 - Chain Station 

Opening Act: Derek y Daniel 

A four-piece, high-energy, get ‘em out on the dance floor string band from the Front Range of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. They’ve become known for catchy and lyrically-poignant original songs which flow from the mountains, through them and right back to you!


August 9 - Chris Daniels and the Kings with Freddi Gowdy

Chris Daniels & the Kings have entertained fans from Colorado to Amsterdam with a souped-up mix of jump blues, blue-eyed soul and horn infused rock


August 16 - Selasee & The Fafa Family
