Hey Downtown!
Cinco de Mayo is days away and there will be some amazing places to celebrate downtown on Thursday, May 5th! Quick history lesson - Cinco de Mayo marks the day when Mexican soldiers beat back a French force (three times larger) trying to invade Mexico in 1862. Today the holiday is largely celebrated in the US to commemorate Mexican culture and heritage. So come downtown to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at one of the many Mexican-inspired restaurants.
Start your Cinco de Mayo celebrations early at My Neighbor Felix, with brunch beginning at 11 am. Enjoy a quesadilla, breakfast burrito or a wide variety of tacos, and be sure to sip on their new peach margarita! They’re also giving away free floral crowns all day long.
Cinco de Mayo isn’t the only celebration happening on May 5th - the class of 2022 at the University of Colorado Boulder is graduating! So Avanti is hosting a Cinco De Mayo Party: Graduation Edition. They will have frozen and rocks margarita specials as well as $4 Ratio Mexican Style Lagers and $8 Casamigos Blanco Shots. Party with DJ Musa spinning beats from 9 pm - 12 am.
