Happy Fall!

We hope you all had lots of fun at this year’s Fall Fest! In case you missed it,  check out the Fall Fest 2023 photo gallery.

Fall Fest was just the start of a busy event season. Stay tuned to learn about all the exciting happenings!

Feeling sporty? Boulderthon 2023 is coming to Boulder on Sunday, October 8th! There are a few spots left for the full and half marathon, but be sure to act fast! Whether you choose to run or not, be sure to come downtown to cheer on the crowds as they race around the downtown district.

With fall, there is always football! There are always events to show your support for the Buffs downtown! Don’t miss out on the awesome Pearl Street Stampedes, a downtown tradition for over a decade! Before each home game, hundreds of Buffs line the Pearl Street Mall to watch the “Golden Buffalo” Marching Band and cheer on the CU football team.

Looking to make some fall meals and treats? Every Wednesday evening from 4 - 8 p.m. and Saturday morning from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., stock up on fresh produce from local vendors at the Boulder County Farmers Market. With live music, fresh food and unique handmade products, the market is a great activity for a midweek pick-me-up or a day spent downtown with friends! Wednesday markets will be coming to a close for the season on October 4th.

Calling all foodies!! It’s time to enjoy all the delicious bites Boulder has to offer at the annual dining event, First Bite Boulder! This event will happen from October 20-29th! This year, the district is thrilled to announce that eleven downtown restaurants are participating including Bohemian Biergarten, Gemini, Japango, Jill’s Restaurant, Masas & Agave Boulder, Organic Sandwich Company, Pasta Press, Postino WineCafe, River & Woods, Rosetta Hall, Sforno Trattoria and a special shoutout to University Hill’s The Sink!

Dine at these non-ticketed events, but don't forget to make a reservation directly through the restaurants themselves!

From October 20th through October 22nd, join us for our [placeholder] festival! This event is all about activating downtown through an array of immersive and engaging activities! The festival will feature a range of experiences, such as art exhibits, performances, workshops and design charrettes, and temporary installations that engage the senses and encourage exploration of the space. The success of [placeholder] relies on effective collaboration and communication among all stakeholders, including local residents, businesses, and community groups. Take part in this exploration of place and join in on the fun all weekend long. To learn more, be sure to check out the festival schedule

During [placeholder] festival, enjoy the voices of Boulder at the 12th annual World Singing Day (WSD) on Saturday, October 21st from 2:00-3:00 pm on the 1300 Block of the Pearl Street Mall. This awesome event was founded by Colorado musician, Scott Johnson, and works to promote unity, inclusivity and overall happiness through the act of singing. All are encouraged to participate! Each year, a "Song of the Year" is chosen to be sung in unison. This year's song will be "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers. Make sure to also learn the WSD Theme Song, "Til the Whole World Sings".  Check out this WSD feature that aired last October on The Today Show!

Looking for some fun Halloween plans with your little ones? Join us for the Munchkin Masquerade on Tuesday, October 31st from 3-6 pm. This elevated Trick-or-Treat experience is recommended for children who are 12 years old or younger and runs throughout downtown, thanks to businesses who graciously supply treats. Stay up to date on all participating businesses by viewing the Treat Stop map

For even more ideas, check out our monthly Things to Do Downtown Blog so you don’t miss a thing!

Well, that’s all for now! Here’s to a season of fun events, cool weather and gorgeous fall scenery!

More to come,

Rebecca
