What's New in Downtown Boulder

Category: Boulder Blog

Post Date: Tuesday, April 5

Hey Downtown!

Whether you are new to Boulder or just haven’t made it downtown lately, this blog is for you. In the past few months, some amazing new shops and restaurants have opened in the downtown district! From collectible sneakers to flowers and yarn, one of these six new businesses is sure to pique your interest. Read on for more and then venture downtown to experience them firsthand!

Starting off with one of the newest additions to downtown is Magoo’s CKC. Created by Jacob Maged at the age of 22, he combines the sports and hype worlds together by offering kicks, cards and clothes. Magoo’s CKC is a dream shop for sneakerheads where they can buy, sell and trade their sneakers. Located on the East End, stop by and see what all the hype is about!

From one store created by a passion to another, Himali was founded by Dave Schaeffer and legendary 13 time Mount Everest summiteer, Tendi Sherpa. They met at the peak of South America and created Himali, a brand that creates premium mountaineering apparel and gives back to the Nepali community. And we’re lucky enough to have Himali’s first (and so far only) brick and mortar shop right here in Boulder.

Next, we have Gemini! Gemini is a full service restaurant focused on contemporary Spanish food and wine with international influences. From tapas and charcuterie to homemade soups and paella, Gemini offers unique meals and shareable plates. I haven’t been there yet, but I keep getting recommendations to go from people who have and absolutely loved it - so I’m sure it is a place worth checking out next time you dine downtown!

Fiori Flowers has expanded to Pearl Street! Fiori is a local business that provides the finest flowers for any occasion. For the most important occasions like your wedding, Fiori has you covered with their floral expertise. They also offer premium bath and body products, perfect for gifts for your loved ones.

Inspired by the beginnings of American industry, Timber Trade Co offers high-end menswear. Every piece in their store is hand curated to display what they believe to be the best and most well-rounded male aesthetic, fit for both the city and mountains Coloradans love. You’re sure to stand out from the crowd wearing their premium clothing!

Last but not least, there is Lula Faye Fiber! They hope to provide the community with an opportunity to explore the colors and history of handmade textiles by way of creating truly usable art. They sell yarn and crafts but also offer knitting classes and other events. Check out all their upcoming events here!

Downtown Boulder always has new and exciting businesses joining our community for everyone to explore. Downtown also has many amazing businesses that have been around for decades - and I will be exploring those for next week’s blog!

See you around Downtown,
Alex
