Fully lined, reversible, and with three different options for length, this elegant kimono-style jacket is sure to be a wardrobe staple. This is an intermediate level sewing class; students should have some sewing experience.

Because the Wiksten Kimono Jacket is customizable with different lengths and pocket sizes, we recommend that you trace your pattern pieces onto pattern tracing paper rather than cutting them out, so that you have the pattern intact to make use of the different variations. The first part of the class is set aside to do this, so never fear if you’ve never traced a pattern before! However, it is a little time consuming, so you will probably have a little homework (about a half hour) to do in between classes in order to finish the project in two days. If you are comfortable tracing your pattern, you may certainly do so in advance of class to get a little ahead and avoid having to do any work between classes.
