To say the Petrussa winery is small is an understatement. Located in the village of Prepotto in Friuli, Petrussa is in fact tiny, but for being so small, they make a large variety of incredible wines The most striking are their world class reds.
Their Schioppettino is the best example of the ideginous variety - spicy and aromatic. Their Rosso Petrussa is old vine Merlot that is the perfect example of just how great Merlot from this part of the world can be - with aromatics of ripe red apple skin. We are proud and fortunate to have been pouring Petrussa since we were first able to get it imported in 2013.
