[Boulder, CO] August 15, 2011 – On the evening of September 8 from Manhattan to Milan, fashonistas from all walks of life will come together to celebrate fashion. This year, Downtown Boulder proudly joins over 250 U.S. cities and in 16 international cities around the globe for the third year of this unprecedented global initiative. Downtown Boulder’s celebration of Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) kicks off with a surprise event that will take place on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall (in front of the County Courthouse) starting at 6 p.m. The kickoff will pay tribute to the fashion industry and also highlight several of the trendy, upscale businesses that make up the downtown landscape.
Following the kickoff, 16 businesses will host official FNO events. Attendees will enjoy everything from fashion shows, live music and DJs to food & wine, trunk shows and amazing giveaways & gifts with purchase. Restaurants and other downtown businesses are also rolling out their red carpets to help transform Downtown Boulder into a fashion wonderland. In addition to each store’s individual events & activities, attendees will be entertained throughout downtown by BE Life (dance group) who has performed on America’s Best Dance Crew (MTV) and America’s Got Talent (NBC).
This year’s FNO official participants include: Art+Soul, Barbra & Company, Buffalo Exchange, Chelesa, Common Era, Lilli, Pedestrian Shops, Savvy on Pearl, Starr’s Clothing, Steve Madden, The Ritz, Topo Ranch, Twig Hair Salon, Two Sole Sisters, Violette & Weekends.
