Downtown Boulder Celebrates Freezie Fest and the Find Freezie Scavenger Hunt on December 14th


Boulder, Colo.  [December 6, 2019]:  On Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 11 am to 3 pm, Downtown Boulder will host a snowman extravaganza. Freezie Fest includes train rides, visits with Santa and Freezie the Snowman, carolers and free Reindeer Games on the 1300 block of Pearl Street. 

Reindeer Games will include: building reindeer hats with CU's Sleep & Development Lab, enjoying an enchanted elf craft with the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, free face-painting courtesy of Sunrun, Inc., coloring station with Ameritech Construction and creating custom photo frames with the Downtown Boulder Partnership. Yasso Greek Frozen Yogurt will be handing out free frozen greek yogurt bars on the 1300 block of Pearl Street.

Twenty-five downtown retailers will be participating in Find Freezie. Visitors are encouraged to go on a hunt to find a Freezie (small plush snowman) - find a list of participating businesses here -  and present it to store employees who will reward them with a Silver Bell. Then visitors take the Silver Bell to Freezie's Headquarters at Capital One Cafe where it is redeemable for one $25 Downtown Boulder Gift Card. Details can be found online at FindFreezie.com.

Information about this event can be found online at FreezieFest.com.The public is encouraged to park in one of the City of Boulder’s Parking Garages (every Saturday and Sunday year round, City of Boulder parking garages are free of charge).  Information about downtown parking can be found online at BoulderParking.com. Freezie Fest and the Find Freezie Snowman Scavenger Hunt are free and open to the public.
